GROUNDWORKER Job Description and Duties:

What a groundworker could help You the Homeowner with:
Groundworker is a a subcontractor who is employed by a main builder to prepare a home construction site for the shallow foundation of a new home, provides digging services and helps with additonal tasks such as clearing the building site etc.
-The groundworkers clear the site, lays a foundation, installs drainage and other pipework, and covers the installed items by earth after the installation.
-The groundworkers would start the job putting in levels, digging the ground in accrordance with blueprints and drawings.
-Groundworkers are excavating and concreting the foundations, and building the foundations until the floor is on and the work continues up to the damp proof course.
-Groundworkers are responsible for the drainage.
-Groundworkers are connecting to the existing water and drainage pipes installing in the new ones.
-Team of Groundworkers return to put in driveways and footpaths at the end of the home building project.
Groundworkers can also help You the Homeowner with any axillary tasks such as clearing the rubbish from the site and providing assistance to the other trades in their activities.
